I’ve finally got around to making a custom design for the blog. It now looks like the podcasts site. This was originally planned for the main rawkstar site design, which I created a few mock ups for about a year ago… Now it’s live on the blog and the podcasts page it shouldn’t be long before it’s on the forum and the main site!
Anyway, any comments or criticisms just tell me here! Same goes for any bugs/oddities you spot.

A belated happy new year from rawkstar!
Well i’ve been busy tweaking the design of the site, which will go mostly unnoticed but the world of music hasn’t gone unnoticed, and 2007 should see the return of some of our favourite bands.
The bands we’re looking forward to hearing from this year are:-
The Smashing Pumpkins – Yes, Billy Corgan and friends have got back together to reform the Smashing Pumpkins, as yet the actual reunited lineup is still unknown! Will D’arcy return? Links: smashingpumpkins.com / MySpace.
Idlewild – They’ve already announced a tour, single and album…
I’ll also have to put in the news that Muse will be one of the first bands to play the brand spanking new Wembley Stadium, no less than 2 nights as well!! The first night sold out in a matter of hours and the 2nd night only has the seats about a mile from the stage left.
The BBC have also put up their upcoming bands for 2007 list, check it out!
Anything/anyone else you’re looking forward to seeing/hearing new material from in 2007? Tell us in the comments!

Update: More downtime today (31st July), seems to be all sorted out again though…
As you may have noticed, rawkstar availability has been sporadic of late, but it’s back up again!! My webhost have had a few power problems and other webhost type problems lately.
Hopefully the site will stay up and be accessable again (without excessive page loading times… e.g., waiting a minute for each page to load) as opposed to what it’s been like the past week!

I know the current colour scheme doesn’t fit the rest of the rawkstar site, I will change it to the ‘red’ scheme at some point! I’m really just posting this to see what 2 Quickies look like together :). Also, I’m tempted to not show the quickies on the rawkstar.net homepage (in the recent blog entries list), what do y’all think?

Starting today, I have decided to take it upon myself to review the latest free download from the iTunes UK music store *every week.
First review is of ‘Tina Dico’. Now, I know what you’re thinking, “Who?!”, well I was thinking the same… infact, judging by the other free tunes I’ve downloaded in the past, you’ll be saying that [“Who?!”] every week!
Anyway, pop over to the rawkstar main page and click the latest mini review “Tina Dico – In the Red”. – Enjoy.
*Every week unless I forget, or can’t be bothered… or as with the last 2 weeks the songs have been too bad to feature on rawkstar… and not that I’m lazy.

I’ve (slightly) updated the design of the site, I plan on tweaking the design a bit more over the coming weeks so keep an eye out for any errors that creep in!
Your views on the design are appreciated, if you spot any odd happenings with the layout etc, just comment here or use the contact form on the main site and tell me what’s happening and in what browser. I have tested the layout in all the latest browsers I can (Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer 6 and Opera).
-Edit 23rd Jan.-
Spot the recent change and i’ll give you some free mp3s to download 😛 (or not…).
